Our Choice: Boon or Curse – Hare Krishna!!
As we all know, globalisation is increasing exponentially all across the globe with widespread connections. It has made accessible our approach to varieties of products. Not denying the fact that Variety is the mother of Enjoyment, let’s ask ourselves a few questions.
Will such a global exposure of preference bring everlasting peace and prosperity to society?? Are the universally debating demerits of this exposure truly overcome by the pleasing merits?? Isn’t this affecting me in my preference for best??
Let’s sit altogether and find out the answers with the divine spectacles of Vedic knowledge.
Devine Spectacles of Vedic Knowledge
In Bhagavad Gita(2.41), The Supreme Personality of Godhead says, “Those who are on this path are resolute in purpose, and their aim is one. O beloved child of the Kurus, the intelligence of those who are irresolute is many-branched.”
In this material world, we choose to satisfy the self. And this preference brings nothing more than dissatisfaction and miseries. The residents of
Goloka Vrindavana chose to satisfy Krishna, The Supreme Personality of the Godhead. They choose beautiful flowers to make wonderful garlands for Krishna’s pleasure. Even Goloka Vrindavana itself manifests every moment as such that Lord Krishna relishes it. This tendency of serving Krishna and selecting what would please Him, makes our choice divine and transcendental.
In this material world, what we choose is a good job, an apartment, a husband or wife, and many more things. But, we haven’t chosen our parents, our beauty and our intelligence. That is gifted to us, based on our previous deeds. Lord Krishna, The Supreme Personality of Godhead is beyond this. He can choose his parents. When He incarnated in the prison house, He ordered His father Vasudeva to let Him go to Gokula. His beauty and intelligence is incomparable. For bestowing mercy over us, He takes different forms like Varaha, Narasimha, Matsya, Rama etc. All these forms of Krishna are divine and their beauty is transcendental. No materialists or impersonalists can beat Him in any one of His opulence, though they are puffed up with false pride.
Even such people cannot say that “I am a very
noble person… I have these and those certificates. So, I will never choose diseases, old age, birth and death.” Material nature will force us to accept it anyhow. (prakṛteḥ kriyamāṇāni guṇaiḥ karmāṇi sarvaśaḥ- BG 3.27).
Out of false love towards their worldly possessions, the so-called educated people say, “May my parents be my eternal ones for time immemorial. I don’t want to get out of this birth-death cycle, if I cannot serve them selflessly…. and so and so.”
This is another definition of stupidity. If we choose to serve Maya, rather than Krishna, then NO MORE CHOICE. We are literally cursed then. There will be miseries and miseries only. No more benediction.
The only benediction is Krishna’s Consciousness. Try to purchase this matchless gift from “The Hare Krishna Movement”. Try to get it from the bona fide spiritual master as soon as possible. This will spiritualise our choice. Our choice will be transcendental then. BENEDICTIONS-BRINGING CHOICE!! No more miseries then.
Hare Krishna!!
