Hare Krishna!!
Being conditionally bound by our duties and many responsibilities, many times we feel suffocated and cannot escape frustrating and annoying occasions. It seems as if we get packed up in a chamber of frustrations. How annoying it is! And, the result is: Our mental health & relations also get affected, and eventually infected by the negative atmosphere. In this blog, we will discuss the divine art of staying calm under pressure.
Let us see our solution for our query through the light of Bhagavad Gita;
Obviously, we all face such scenarios in our daily life. Our mind becomes a balloon of annoyance.
In Bhagavad Gita(17.16), The Supreme Lord gives the description of austerities of mind. We should fulfill austerities of mind.
“And satisfaction, simplicity, gravity, self-control and purification of one’s existence are the austerities of the mind.”
By not allowing our mind to engage in sense gratification always, meaning training it to become regulative, controlled and focused,while also dovetailing and allowing the mind to engage in the divine sense gratification of The Supreme Lord, means to engage it in the service of the Lord, by which we will become actually blissful and
our mind will gradually become pacified and purified.

Only by connecting our activities with The Supreme Lord, we can remain calm and peaceful even under difficult situations. With Lord Krishna in the centre of our daily activities, it is possible. Otherwise, it is merely a failure (śrama eva hi kevalam), even if we are an expert swimmer.
Lord Krishna says in Bg. 15.7;
mamaivāṁśo jīva-loke
jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ
manaḥ-ṣaṣṭhānīndriyāṇi
prakṛti-sthāni karṣati

Translation:
The living entities in this conditioned world are My eternal fragmental parts. Due to conditioned life, they are struggling very hard with the six senses, which include the mind.
As long as we try to falsely enjoy the so-called glamour in this material life selfishly, being separate from our loving Father, The Supreme Personality Of Godhead, we will only end up in suffering, suffering and suffering. Just as a spark of fire immediately loses its potency and light when it goes far away from the burning flame of fire on a wood. Because by this attitude our consciousness gradually gets covered by the bodily conception of life, hence we consider ourselves this body, and even sometimes a lump of matter, forgetting our original blissful spiritual nature that of a soul and our original constitutional position that of an eternal loving servant of the Lord, hence we lose our loving relationship with the Lord too, resulting in complete frustration and more or less an emptiness deep inside our heart.
Though this doesn’t encourage us to leave everyone and everything now, say it our relationships, family, friends, work, or our environment altogether and go far away to a solitary place and sit doing nothing, NO. Whatever we do as our duty or work or our relationships , we need to keep the Lord in the center, we need to dovetail our ideas, desires, attempts according to the Lord’s desire or words, which will gradually make our life secure and gradually we will advance in the path of self realization.
By reading Bhagavad Gita and practicing its teachings, one can automatically become an expert in doing the rightful duty, or work, maintaining his/her family, relationships, by keeping The Lord in the center. One cannot run away from the responsibilities artificially, but makes his attempts or works as an offering to the Lord, Krishna. One can actually become purified and blissful by staying in the association of the devotees of the Lord, practicing devotional service to the Lord and by taking The Lord’s name.
ŚB 11.5.32;

Translation:
In the Age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead who constantly sings the names of Kṛṣṇa. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Kṛṣṇa Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons and confidential companions.
Hence, let us put our efforts for earning the real benefit of the human life, not by simply trying to do dry speculation and spoil our whole human life and energy, but by participating in the great Sankirtana Movement started by The Supreme Personality Of Godhead,Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, whose is Lord Krishna Himself, accompanied by Lord Nityananda Prabhu,Lord Balarama, in this age of Kali, the age of quarrel and hypocrisy and get spiritually nourished and get the strength to overcome any provoking situation in our life.
