Bhagavad Gita On Spirituality

Hare Krishna!!

Modern society, today, have a very wrong conception regarding spirituality. Modern agenda regarding Spiritualilty has now become “chhodo ghar dwar, chalo haridwar.”

Many misconceptions regarding Spirituality are now growing widely among various age groups. let’s discuss more about the Bhagavad Gita On Spirituality.

One of the most popular one is as follows:

“Spirituality is only meant for aged persons, when there is no question of playing, job and studies.”

Let us study about this subject matter from the viewpoint of Bhagavad Gita:

In Bhagavad Gita (8.7),

tasmāt sarveṣu kāleṣu    mām anusmara yudhya ca

mayy arpita-mano-buddhir    mām evaiṣyasy asaṁśayaḥ

The Supreme Lord says, “Therefore, Arjuna, you should always think of Me in the form of Kṛṣṇa and at the same time carry out your prescribed duty of fighting. With your activities dedicated to Me and your mind and intelligence fixed on Me, you will attain Me without doubt.”

Here, we can understand that Lord Krishna is not instructing us to leave our prescribed duty and make a show of so-called renunciation. Rather, He is stating to do our prescribed duties and remember Him simultaneously.

Bhagavad Gita On Spirituality

Apart from this, Spirituality is not a subject matter of only aged persons.

In Srimad Bhagavatam (7.6.1)

kaumāra ācaret prājño    dharmān bhāgavatān iha

durlabhaṁ mānuṣaṁ janma    tad apy adhruvam arthadam

Devotee Prahalada says, “One who is sufficiently intelligent should use the human form of body from the very beginning of life — in other words, from the tender age of childhood — to practice the activities of devotional service, giving up all other engagements. The human body is most rarely achieved, and although temporary like other bodies, it is meaningful because in human life one can perform devotional service. Even a slight amount of sincere devotional service can give one complete perfection.”

We should not waste our any moment of life like animals do. We should also invest our most valuable time to nurture our spiritual growth also. Then, it will be called as complete growth.

Why to waste time!!! Let us invest it on your spiritual growth by reading Bhagavad Gita As It Is!!
