OUR ETERNAL ABODE- HOME SWEET HOME
Hare Krishna!!
We all have desires to have good relationships with our family members. And we also feel proud of it. We all seek good family support whether we are in our happiness or distress. And we try to seek it for permanent.
But there are some doubts, some queries!!
What are these queries???
Are we really searching for it?? Can we make our relationships best for always?? Can we really make it permanent?? If not, then how is it possible to seek eternal relationships??

Let’s discuss these doubts in context with our Vedic scriptures!!!
There is a popular saying we heard often, “HOME SWEET HOME”. What’s Bhagavad Gita calls our “HOME SWEET HOME”– duhkhalayam asasvatam(BG 8.15) and anityam asukham(BG 9.33).
We do not consider the truth. We falsely claim our relationships as permanent. But what happens then? We get miseries, we feel unsatisfied. And we say, “chhodo ghar dwar, chalo haridwar”. This is completely rascaldom. In SB(2.9.9), there’s given description of our eternal home, that we had left. “This transcendental abode of the Lord is adored by all self-realized persons freed from all kinds of miseries and fear of illusory existence.” (SB 2.9.9). These personal abodes of Lord (sva-lokam) are neither mythical nor material. There exists eternal happiness. There is no birth, death, age old and diseases. Everyday filled with celebrations in Krishna Consciousness. In Krishna Consciousness, each and every moment, every day is enjoyment. Varieties of enjoyment!!
But, in material world, what seems to be new is a door to new variety of miseries. Being updated, here, means being updated to welcome new variety of diseases, distresses, tensions and dissatisfaction. We are now becoming epitomes of diseases, distresses, tensions, depression and dissatisfaction.
We, everyday, see other person as leading a happy and joyous lifestyle. If we tend to ask about his causes of tensions, we’ll for sure get a list. We should understand that everyone here is burning in the blazing fire of miseries. If everyone is in distress here, then how can we say that “NO, NO, My home is SWEET HOME.” Not in all!! No one can claim so.
Let’s see how residents of OUR ETERNAL SWEET HOME live a peaceful life!!
Our eternal well-wishers, there, have a glowing and effulgent (su-varcasah) complexion. They are just the age of growing youths, nicely decorated with pearl necklaces with ornamental medallions (SB 2.9.11). There is no deficiency of any resources. All lead extremely joyous life, in serving the eternal servants of servants of
The Supreme Lord, Sri Krishna. Each and every family there, is engaged in Krishna Consciousness. In a conclusion, there is ever growing happiness with a new taste.
What we need to achieve this???? We need to understand that peace is the source of happiness. In Bhagavad Gita, The Supreme Lord has given Himself The Ultimate Peace Formula. “A person in full consciousness of Me, knowing Me to be the ultimate beneficiary of all sacrifices and austerities, the Supreme Lord of all planets and demigods, and the benefactor and well-wisher of all living entities, attains peace from the pangs of material miseries.” (BG 5.29). We should make our endeavors to understand this very fact from the right source. Then only can we make our relationships eternal and eternal forever.
