We all have fruitive mentality or in other words we have the mentality of getting something in return for each of our actions, due to which we invariably seek profit, adoration and distinction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>We are thus attached to work for selfish motives. Such work binds us to the cycle of birth, death, old age and disease. For example, if you want to eat meat, you cannot offer it to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a doesn\u2019t accept meat. We must offer the results of our prescribed duty to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. \u2018<strong>Prescribed duty<\/strong>\u2019 means <strong>all those actions that can be offered to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a<\/strong>. Suppose you have a tobacco factory and you want the profit to be offered to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. This is <strong>NOT<\/strong> possible, as intoxication is a violation of the principles of dharma. But fruit vendors can offer fruits to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, and farmers can offer their crop yield to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. All these acts are Karma yoga. So any action that can be connected to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a becomes a prescribed duty. Therefore, before performing any action you must ask yourself whether it is a prescribed duty or not<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_know_my_Prescribed_Duties\"><\/span>How to know my Prescribed Duties?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One must carefully ascertain what is prescribed duty by careful study of scriptures as Krishna says in <strong>Bhagavad Gita 16.24<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em><em>tasm\u0101c ch\u0101stra\u1e41 pram\u0101\u1e47a\u1e41 te<br>k\u0101ry\u0101k\u0101rya-vyavasthitau<br>j\u00f1\u0101tv\u0101 \u015b\u0101stra-vidh\u0101nokta\u1e41<br>karma kartum ih\u0101rhasi<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Translation<\/strong>: One should therefore understand what is duty and what is not duty by the regulations of the scriptures. Knowing such rules and regulations, one should act so that he may gradually be elevated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no duty for Krishna to perform as He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, yet K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a is engaged on the Battlefield of Kuruk\u1e63etra as the leader of the&nbsp;<em>k\u1e63atriyas<\/em>&nbsp;because the&nbsp;prescribed duties for <em>k\u1e63atriyas<\/em>&nbsp;are to give protection to the distressed. Although He is above all the regulations of the revealed scriptures, He does not do anything that violates the revealed scriptures. Krishna says &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Bhagavad Gita 3.22<\/strong>&#8211;<\/strong>O son of P\u1e5bth\u0101, there is no work prescribed for me within all the three planetary systems. Nor am I in want of anything, nor have I a need to obtain anything \u2014 and yet I am engaged in prescribed duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bhagavad Gita 3.23<\/strong>&#8211;  For if I ever failed to engage in carefully performing prescribed duties, O P\u0101rtha, certainly all men would follow my path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bhagavad Gita 3.2<\/strong>4-  If I did not perform prescribed duties, all these worlds would be put to ruination. I would be the cause of creating unwanted population, and I would thereby destroy the peace of all living beings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion_and_Essence\"><\/span>Conclusion and Essence <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When a fruitive worker offers results of his prescribed actions to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a, he becomes a karma yogi but to know exactly what we must or mustn\u2019t do, we need a guide and that guide is Bhagavad Gita. Those people who never follow these things and simply act, are blind.
